Te mapa
Layton sits in Davis County on the narrow strip of land between the Wasatch Mountains to the east and the marshes of the Great Salt Lake to the west. From above, its streets follow the numbered grid common to northern Utah, with long east–west and north–south roads dividing the city into large square sections. Inside those squares, residential streets curve and loop.
Interstate 15 and US 89 run through the city from north to south, drawn as bold lines against the finer neighbourhood pattern. To the east, the land rises towards the mountains and the streets begin to bend with the slope. The Layton map poster holds that balance: a firm grid on the valley floor and softer lines on the benches below the peaks.
Hill Air Force Base lies along the city's northern edge, and its runways and open ground create a large, clean shape at the top of the map. Layton is also known for its commercial centre around the interstate and for trails that climb into the canyons of the Wasatch Front.
Main roads cross at regular intervals, dividing the city into large square sections filled with curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs.
Interstate 15 and US 89 run north to south through the city, forming strong parallel lines that anchor the composition of the poster.
On the eastern side the streets begin to follow the rising benches of the mountains, bending and thinning as the terrain steepens.
