Te mapa
Lilio, also spelled Liliw, is a town in Laguna province in the Calabarzon region, set on the lower slopes of Mount Banahaw. The ground rises steadily toward the mountain, and the town's layout follows it. From above you see a compact central grid around the church and plaza. Roads lead outward and upward into farmland, orchards and forest.
The town is known across the Philippines for its footwear, especially handmade tsinelas sandals sold along its main street. Its church of Saint John the Baptist, built of red brick with a baroque façade, is one of the best-known in the province. The cool springs on the mountainside draw weekend visitors from Manila.
A Lilio map poster places that small, neatly ordered centre within its green, sloping surroundings. The plaza and church give the drawing a clear focus. Around them, winding rural roads and scattered barangays spread out toward Banahaw, so the print shows both the town itself and the mountain landscape it belongs to.
The red-brick church of Saint John the Baptist and its plaza sit at the heart of the town grid, forming the densest point on the map.
The main road through the centre is lined with shoe and sandal shops. It is Lilio's best-known street and a clear axis on the print.
Roads and settlements thin out as the land rises toward the mountain. The upper edge of the composition is a pattern of scattered paths and open ground.
