Te mapa
Linares lies in the Maule Region of central Chile, in the fertile Central Valley between the coastal range and the Andes. From above, the city is a clear example of the Spanish colonial grid. Square blocks are arranged around a central plaza, with long straight streets running out in each direction until they meet farmland.
The Pan-American Highway, Ruta 5, passes close to the city and links it with Talca to the north and Chillán to the south. A railway line also runs through the valley here. Around Linares the land is given over to orchards, vineyards and fields, with the Andes rising to the east as a distant, constant horizon.
A Linares map poster celebrates that order. The even grid creates a calm, repeating pattern of lines, framed by the diagonal sweep of the highway and the railway. In a minimalist print it reads like an architectural drawing, a clean portrait of a traditional Chilean valley city.
Regular square blocks radiate from the main plaza, forming one of the neatest and most legible street patterns a map can show.
The Pan-American Highway runs near the city, drawing a long straight line through the Central Valley that anchors the composition.
Orchards, vineyards and fields surround the grid, so the streets end cleanly against open land and leave calm margins on the print.
