Te mapa
From above, Loum follows its main transport routes. The town extends along the road and the railway, with neighbourhoods branching off to either side. Beyond the built-up area, the map opens into large agricultural plots, and the pattern of plantation roads creates regular lines through the green. The result is a long, narrow town set in cultivated land.
Loum is in the Moungo department of Cameroon's Littoral region, north of Douala. The area is known for plantation agriculture, especially bananas, and much of the town's life has been tied to farming and the transport of produce. The railway that runs north from Douala toward Nkongsamba passes through the town.
A Loum map poster shows a town defined by movement and cultivation. The road and railway give the print strong lines, while the fields around them offer open space. It is a quiet, well-structured map of a working agricultural town.
The main road and the railway run through Loum side by side. They form the spine of the town and the strongest lines on the map.
Streets spread out from the main corridor into residential areas. On the print they create a network of smaller lines along both sides.
Around the town, large fields and plantation roads form a regular pattern. They surround the built-up area and give the poster its open setting.
