Te mapa
Maco is a municipality in Davao de Oro, in the southeastern part of Mindanao. It stretches from the shore of Davao Gulf into steep, forested hills. The map shows a narrow band of settlement along the coastal road, and behind it a much more open, rugged landscape crossed by winding routes and river valleys.
The province's name, Davao de Oro, refers to its gold, and mining has long been part of life in the hills around Maco. The poblacion, or town centre, is compact, and much of the municipality is made up of barangays spread across farmland and uplands. Rather than naming specific sites, this map lets the shape of the land speak for itself.
A Maco map poster balances water, coast and mountain. The gulf fills one side of the frame with calm open space, and the coastal road and town centre form a thin line of detail. In the hills, a looser network of roads follows the valleys and ridges into the interior.
The coastline runs along the edge of the municipality, giving the map a long, clean boundary where settlement meets the calm water of the gulf.
The main road follows the shore and links Maco with neighbouring towns, a strong line along which the poblacion and much of the settlement gather.
Inland, roads wind through valleys into the mountainous interior, where mining and farming communities are spread widely across the forested hills of Davao de Oro.
