Manor Park is a residential district in the London Borough of Newham, in east London. From above it is a close pattern of long, parallel terraced streets, laid out largely in the late Victorian and Edwardian years as the railway brought new housing to the area. The streets are narrow and regular, with a railway line running through the district.
What gives Manor Park its distinctive map is the open space around it. To the west lies Wanstead Flats, part of Epping Forest, a broad area of grassland and ponds. To the north is the City of London Cemetery, one of the largest municipal cemeteries in the country, with its winding paths and planted avenues.
