Te mapa
Manzanillo spreads around the Bay of Manzanillo and the neighbouring Bay of Santiago, divided by the rocky Santiago Peninsula. The old centre sits at the southern end, squeezed between the harbour and the hills, while hotels and neighbourhoods run north-west along the beaches. On a map the coastline dominates: long curves of sand, headlands, and roads following the shoreline between them.
Behind the port lies the Laguna de Cuyutlán, a long coastal lagoon stretching south-east along the coast. The container terminals, docks and rail yards between the lagoon and the sea make up the busiest container port in Mexico, handling a large share of the country's Pacific trade and giving the southern part of the map its hard, industrial edges.
The city calls itself a capital of sailfishing, and a large blue sailfish sculpture by the artist Sebastián stands on the waterfront in the centre. A Manzanillo map poster places the two bays, the peninsula and the lagoon in one frame, a coastal outline that reads clearly in every style from Classic to Blueprint.

A long, narrow coastal lagoon behind the port, separated from the ocean by a thin strip of land. On the map it forms a broad water shape that balances the open sea.
Docks, container yards and rail lines fill the southern end of the bay beside the old centre, drawn as straight hard edges that contrast with the soft curves of the beaches.

Koteā ko Manzanillo
Manzanillo is where many people spent holidays on the beach, took a fishing trip, or worked in the port. A map of the two bays captures the city's form at a glance and suits a room where you want the sea present without a photograph of it.
Give the poster a title of your choice, a subtitle and a date, and set the coordinates to your beach or neighbourhood. Blueprint and Sand work especially well for coastlines, alongside Classic black & white, Noir and Paper, as a $9 download or a printed poster.
