Te mapa
Marghera lies on the mainland shore of the Venetian Lagoon, facing the historic city across open water. On a map it has two faces. To the east and south, Porto Marghera spreads out in a vast network of straight canals, docks and industrial plots, one of Italy's major industrial ports. To the west, a residential quarter unfolds with curving streets and green spaces.
The industrial port was developed from 1917 onward as a planned complex for shipping, chemicals and energy, and it grew into a key part of the Italian economy. Alongside it, a garden-city neighbourhood was designed for workers, and its rounded layout still contrasts sharply with the geometric docks next door.
A Marghera map poster shows the lagoon, the port and the residential quarter in one frame. The long, straight canals carve the industrial zone into precise blocks, the garden-city streets curve softly beside them, and the edge of the lagoon runs along one side. It is an unusual portrait of Venice, from the mainland that kept the city working.
Porto Marghera is divided by long, straight canals and docks, a strongly geometric pattern that fills a large part of the map and reads well in monochrome.
The residential district was planned with curving streets and green spaces, forming a softer, rounded pattern right beside the rigid lines of the port.
The Venetian Lagoon lies to the east, its open water framing Marghera and linking the mainland to the historic city across the bay.

Koteā ko Marghera
Marghera is where many Venetian families actually lived and worked, and it has its own strong local identity. A map of its canals and streets is a thoughtful alternative to the familiar image of the historic centre.
Set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles, including Blueprint, which suits the port's engineered geometry. Digital files cost $9, and printed posters ship on matte paper from partners in more than 30 countries.
