Te mapa
Marsá Maţrūḩ lies on Egypt's northwestern Mediterranean coast, about halfway between Alexandria and the Libyan border. The town wraps around a natural harbour, a curved bay closed off from the open sea by a chain of rocks and reefs. From above, that offshore line and the calm water inside it make the coastline the main feature of the map.
East and west of the town, the coast breaks into small bays and beaches with pale sand and very clear water. They draw summer visitors from across Egypt. Well-known spots include the rock formation called Cleopatra's Bath and a cave used by Rommel during the Second World War, which is now a small museum.
A Marsá Maţrūḩ map poster pairs a compact street grid with a long, fragmented shoreline. The town sits on a narrow strip between sea and desert, so the streets form a dense band that thins inland. On a poster, the scalloped bays and offshore rocks add fine detail around a simple core, especially in lighter styles.
A curved bay forms a natural harbour, cut off from the open Mediterranean by a line of rocks that appears as a series of fine marks offshore.
On both sides of town, the shore breaks into small coves and headlands, giving the coast a detailed, rhythmic edge.
Inland, the grid ends quickly at open desert, so the town reads as a narrow band pressed between two empty spaces.

For Egyptians who spent summers on this coast, the map brings back white sand and turquoise water. It is a light, open composition that suits a bright room or a beach house.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a summer year, and choose whether to show the coordinates line. Styles include Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits this coast especially well.
