Te mapa
Moyo is the main town of Moyo District in Uganda's West Nile sub-region, close to the border with South Sudan. It sits on raised ground west of the Albert Nile, and the map reflects that setting: a modest town centre on higher ground, roads dropping toward the river valley, and hills, farmland and scattered homesteads all around.
The street network is small and loosely arranged. A few main roads meet near the commercial centre, and quieter tracks branch out to residential areas and villages. To the east, the Albert Nile forms a broad natural line, and the crossing at Laropi connects the district by ferry with Adjumani on the far bank.
A Moyo map poster makes a quiet, spacious composition in which the river and the rising land do most of the work. Higher hills lie toward the border, and at a wider scale their contours shape how roads curve around the town. It is a map of a place defined by its setting as much as its streets.
The river runs east of the town as a wide, clear line. It is one of the most distinctive natural features in the region and gives the poster a strong edge.
The commercial core sits on higher ground, with roads leading down and out from it, so the street pattern reads as a small hub with radiating spokes.
Toward South Sudan the terrain rises into hills, and at wider scales the roads bend around them in long curves across largely open country.
