Te mapa
Munsha‘at Abū ‘Umar sits in Sharqia governorate, toward the eastern edge of the Nile Delta. Farmland in this area has spread outward toward the desert on the approach to the Suez Canal zone. The map shows a compact settlement of closely packed streets, surrounded by a patchwork of fields divided by straight irrigation canals and drains.
The Arabic word munsha'a usually refers to a newer settlement or an established estate. That fits a landscape where cultivation has been extended step by step with engineered water channels. The pattern here is more regular than in the old heart of the Delta, with long, straight canal lines and rectangular plots.
A Munsha‘at Abū ‘Umar map poster shows how closely life here depends on water. The dense, irregular town core contrasts with the geometric grid of canals and field roads around it. That grid makes a strong, orderly background of thin black lines across the print.
Straight canals and drains divide the land into long, regular plots, forming the dominant pattern around the town.
Houses and narrow streets are packed tightly together, keeping the town's footprint small against the farmland around it.
The town lies on the eastern side of the Delta, where cultivated land gives way to desert, with sharp edges between green and dry ground.
