Te mapa
Muritiba belongs to the Recôncavo Baiano, the fertile arc of land around the Bay of All Saints in Bahia. The town sits on high ground above the Paraguaçu river valley, near the historic riverside towns of São Félix and Cachoeira. Its streets follow the line of the ridge before dropping away down the slopes.
The Recôncavo was one of the earliest farming regions of colonial Brazil, known for sugar and later for tobacco, and its towns still show that past in their layout and buildings. Muritiba remains a local centre for the surrounding farmland, linked by road to the valley towns and to Salvador.
A Muritiba map poster captures a town shaped by elevation: a main spine along the high ground, side streets branching down the slopes, and green space where the terrain gets steep. A wider frame can include the river valley below, which adds a strong natural line to the composition.
The main streets run along the high ground, giving the town a long shape, with side streets branching out toward the edges of the plateau.
Below the town, the river winds toward the bay past São Félix and Cachoeira, a broad natural feature that frames a wider crop of the map.
Farm roads and small settlements spread across the surrounding land. This looser network softens the edges of the poster and balances its dense centre.
