Mỹ Khê in Quảng Ngãi province is a beach area on the central Vietnamese coast east of the provincial capital. It should not be confused with the better-known beach of the same name in Đà Nẵng. On a map it is a narrow strip of sand and pine-like casuarina trees between the sea and the lagoons and channels behind the shore.
The coastline here is long and gently curved, and the beach looks straight out to the South China Sea. Just inland, roads run parallel to the shore, and small settlements, seafood stalls and fishing homes line them. Behind them the land becomes the flat, watery plain of the Trà Khúc and nearby river mouths.
