Te mapa
Nava is a town in the north of Coahuila, Mexico, a short distance south of Piedras Negras and the border with Texas. The surrounding landscape is flat, dry and open, and the town's plan reflects it. Streets are straight, blocks are generous, and the grid extends outward without having to bend around hills or water.
Highways link Nava to Piedras Negras and to the interior of the state, and they are the strongest lines on the map. The region is also known for coal, and the municipality is home to large coal-fired power plants that supply electricity to northern Mexico. They appear on a wider map as large industrial footprints outside town.
A Nava map poster shows a northern Mexican town in its simplest form: a regular grid, a central plaza, highways stretching toward the border and a lot of open land. The composition is spare, which suits the minimal black-and-white style well.
Nava's streets follow a clear grid, with long, straight blocks that give the map an orderly, almost geometric look against the open plain.
The road north toward Piedras Negras and the Rio Grande runs past the town. It is a key route in the region and a strong diagonal on the poster.
Large power stations stand in the municipality. At wider zoom levels they appear as broad industrial areas, a reminder of the coal region Nava belongs to.
