Te mapa
Naẕerat ‘Illit, renamed Nof HaGalil in 2019, sits on the hills directly above Nazareth in Israel's Northern District. It was founded in the 1950s as a planned town, and the map shows it. Neighbourhoods are laid out in distinct groups along ridges, with roads curving to follow the contours and open slopes between the built-up areas.
Because of the terrain, the town has no single central grid. Instead it is made up of separate districts linked by winding roads, each fitted to its own section of hillside. Industrial zones, residential quarters and green slopes alternate across the landscape, and the older city of Nazareth lies directly below and beside it.
A Naẕerat ‘Illit map poster brings out that contour-led layout. Curving streets, separated neighbourhoods and the empty space of the valleys make an elegant pattern. In black and white, the relationship between the planned town and the hills around it is especially easy to see.
Streets wind along the slopes and ridges instead of forming a grid, giving the map a flowing, layered structure.
Neighbourhoods are spread across different ridges and linked by roads, each forming its own cluster on the map.
The town sits on the heights next to Nazareth, and the two urban areas meet across the surrounding hills and valleys.

Koteā ko Naẕerat ‘Illit
For residents and people who grew up in the town, a map of its hills and winding streets is a personal record of home. It also makes a good gift for family members who have moved elsewhere.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example to use the name Nof HaGalil, and there are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download the digital files or order a printed poster.
