Te mapa
Nefteyugansk was founded in the 1960s, after oil was found in the middle Ob basin. Its plan still reflects that start. On a map, the city is built from large rectangular microdistricts separated by wide avenues. Each block contains apartment buildings arranged around shared courtyards, and the whole layout reads as regular and deliberate.
The city is on the Yugansk Ob, a channel of the great river. Beyond the built-up area the land breaks into wetland, small lakes and winding oxbows. That surrounding terrain gives the map two distinct textures: a tight urban grid on one side and loose, organic water shapes on the other.
A Nefteyugansk map poster captures a Soviet planned city in the taiga. Its name is tied to the oil fields around it, and to the production company based here for decades. Printed in monochrome, the numbered blocks, the river channel and the scattered lakes make a clear, graphic image.

The river channel runs along the city, with branches and backwaters. It forms a strong natural edge to the planned streets.
Outside the city the land breaks into countless small lakes and marshy patches. They scatter across the paper like punctuation marks around the dense centre.

Koteā ko Nefteyugansk
Many people came to Nefteyugansk to work and stayed for years, or moved away and still think of it as home. A map poster holds on to the layout of the blocks, the river and the courtyards that made up daily life in a northern city.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be personalised, for example with the year you arrived or a family name. The five styles range from Classic black and white and Noir to Paper, Blueprint and Sand, so the same city can look stark or warm.
