Te mapa
Nevis is the smaller of the two islands that make up Saint Kitts and Nevis, in the eastern Caribbean. From above it is almost perfectly round. It is formed by a single volcanic cone, Nevis Peak, which is often capped by cloud and dominates the whole island. The slopes fall evenly on all sides to a narrow coastal belt.
A single road runs around the island near the coast, linking the villages. Charlestown, the small capital, sits on the west coast, facing the sea. To the northwest, a narrow channel called The Narrows separates Nevis from Saint Kitts. A Nevis map poster shows this very simple, symmetrical design: a peak, a ring road and the sea.
Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers of the United States, was born in Charlestown. His birthplace is now a museum. The island was once an important centre of sugar production, and the ruins of old estates survive on its slopes.
A single volcanic summit sits in the middle of the island. Its evenly sloping sides give Nevis its almost circular outline.
A single coastal road loops all the way around the island. It forms a clear inner circle that follows the shoreline.
The capital occupies a short stretch of the west coast. Its small grid of streets is the island's main urban detail.

Koteā ko Nevis
Nevis is chosen by islanders at home and abroad, by visitors to its old plantation inns and by people who admire its almost perfect round form. It makes a balanced, centred print for a square or portrait frame.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a wedding date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Classic black & white shows the island's symmetry most clearly.
