Te mapa
North Olmsted is a suburb west of Cleveland, Ohio, in Cuyahoga County. From above, it has the classic structure of an American inner-ring suburb: long straight arterial roads such as Lorain Road cut across the city, and quieter residential streets curve and loop between them. Commercial strips line the main routes, and larger shopping areas sit near the interstate.
The eastern side of the city borders the Rocky River Reservation, part of the Cleveland Metroparks, where the wooded river valley breaks the suburban pattern with a winding band of green. Interstate 480 ends nearby, and its junction with other highways leaves a strong, sweeping mark on the map.
North Olmsted is known in transit history for its municipal bus line, one of the earliest city-run bus services in the United States, which operated for decades before joining the regional system. A North Olmsted map poster shows the suburb as it is: a practical, well-organised grid of neighbourhoods set against a river valley.
The wooded Metroparks reservation runs along the eastern side, a winding green band that contrasts sharply with the suburban streets.
Long, straight main roads cross the city from end to end, framing the residential neighbourhoods and commercial strips between them.
Postwar residential streets loop and curve between the arterials, giving the poster a softer texture than a strict grid.
