Te mapa
Oke Ila is a town in the uplands of southwestern Nigeria, in the Yoruba region near the boundary between Ekiti and Osun states. The name itself begins with oke, the Yoruba word for hill, which is fitting for a landscape of ridges, granite outcrops and wooded valleys.
From above, the town is a cluster of streets gathered on relatively level ground, with roads leaving it to connect neighbouring towns across the hills. The pattern is irregular and organic, shaped by terrain and by the traditional growth of a Yoruba town around its central quarters.
An Oke Ila map poster renders this hill country in simple lines. The town's streets form a dense centre, the connecting roads thread outward, and the surrounding high ground appears as open space, giving the print a sense of the land that holds the town.
The town lies in the rocky uplands of southwestern Nigeria, and the roads bend around the terrain rather than following straight lines.
Streets gather in an irregular pattern around the town's older quarters, forming a dense, textured core on the map.
Routes run out across the hills to nearby towns, extending the composition and placing Oke Ila within its wider region.

Koteā ko Oke Ila
Hometowns hold a strong place in Yoruba life, and many people return for festivals, family occasions and chieftaincy events. A map of Oke Ila is a meaningful piece for those living elsewhere who want home on the wall.
