Te mapa
Oyten is a municipality in the Verden district of Lower Saxony, directly east of the city of Bremen. The land is the level terrain typical of the North German Plain. From above, Oyten is a loose arrangement of residential streets, older village roads and farmland rather than a single dense centre. Its position makes it part of Bremen's wider commuter belt.
The A1 motorway runs past the municipality, a long straight line against the softer curves of the local roads. Around it, newer housing estates with short dead-end streets sit beside older rows of houses along through roads, and open fields and small woods fill the spaces between. Ditches and small streams, common across this lowland, add fine lines of water to the map.
An Oyten map poster records a place in between: close enough to Bremen to share its orbit, rural enough to keep its fields. For people who moved here for space and quiet, or who grew up in one of its villages, the plan gives a clear, understated picture of home, drawn with the same care as any large city.
The A1 between Bremen and Hamburg passes through the municipality. It is a strong line that anchors the composition and explains much of Oyten's growth as a commuter community.
Oyten has no single historic core. It is made up of several settlements joined by country roads, which gives the poster a scattered, rhythmic spread of streets.
Fields, meadows and small woods surround the built areas. On the map they read as calm open space, typical of the flat countryside east of Bremen.
