Harbour and breakwater
The small harbour with its fort at the end of the pier gives the coastline a sharp, recognisable hook. It is often the first detail people look for.

Te mapa
Paphos is built on two levels. Ktima, the upper town, occupies a low plateau with a denser, older street pattern around its market and civic buildings. Below it, Kato Paphos stretches toward the harbour, with hotels, promenades and large open archaeological grounds. On a map, the two parts are joined by a few main roads that run down the slope toward the coast.
The ancient remains here are listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. They include the Roman villas known for their floor mosaics and the rock-cut Tombs of the Kings on the northern edge of town. A small medieval fort guards the harbour. Nearby, the sea stack of Petra tou Romiou is linked to the legend of Aphrodite's birth, and Paphos was a European Capital of Culture in 2017.
A Paphos map poster shows this contrast clearly. The coastline curves around the harbour breakwater, the archaeological park forms a large blank space in the lower town, and the streets thicken again as they climb toward Ktima. Few towns of this size have so much visible history in their layout.
The small harbour with its fort at the end of the pier gives the coastline a sharp, recognisable hook. It is often the first detail people look for.
The large ancient site near the harbour shows up as an open area among the streets. It holds the Roman mosaics and ruins that earned the UNESCO listing.
Ktima on the plateau and Kato Paphos by the sea have distinctly different street patterns. The link between them runs down the slope.

Koteā ko Paphos
Paphos draws holidaymakers, people who retire there, and Cypriots with roots in the district. Its map combines sea, ruins and the everyday town in one frame, which makes it a good souvenir of a place that people keep returning to.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a wedding date or the year you moved. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand pairs naturally with the Mediterranean light.
