Te mapa
Perry Hall is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County, Maryland, northeast of the city. From above, its structure is clearly suburban: Belair Road runs through as the main commercial spine, and from it winding residential streets and cul-de-sacs spread into neighbourhoods. Green belts along streams separate the developments and give the map a soft, organic look.
The community takes its name from the Perry Hall Mansion, an eighteenth-century house that still stands. To the north, the Gunpowder Falls valley forms a wooded boundary with trails and parkland. Much of the housing dates from the decades after the Second World War, when Baltimore's suburbs expanded outward.
A Perry Hall map poster shows the pattern of a mature American suburb: one strong road, loops and curves off it, and woodland threading through. Printed in monochrome, the contrast between the curving streets and the straight main road becomes surprisingly elegant, and each neighbourhood keeps its recognisable shape.
The main road runs through the community as a straight commercial corridor, the reference line from which most residential streets branch off.
Winding streets and cul-de-sacs form distinct neighbourhood shapes, a pattern that makes the map read like a set of connected clusters.
To the north, a wooded stream valley and parkland form a green edge, softening the boundary of the settled area.

Perry Hall is a place people raise families and return to, so a map of it often marks a first house, a childhood street or a school years memory. It is personal without being sentimental.
