Te mapa
Pleebo City is a town in Maryland County, the south-eastern corner of Liberia, lying inland from the county capital, Harper, on the coast. On the map it appears as a loose cluster of streets and compounds gathered around the roads that pass through it, without the tight grid of a planned city, and with generous open space between neighbourhoods.
The land around Pleebo has long been shaped by rubber plantations, whose rows of trees and estate tracks cover large parts of the surrounding county. To the east, the Cavalla River marks the border with Côte d'Ivoire, which makes this part of Maryland County a natural meeting point for trade and travel between the two countries.
A Pleebo City map poster captures the town as it really spreads across the land, with roads threading between irregular blocks and green space. It is an understated, faithful picture of a place that is seldom mapped in detail, and a meaningful piece for anyone with roots in Maryland County.
The main routes cross Pleebo and link it towards Harper and the wider south-east, forming the strongest lines around which the rest of the town has grown.
Rather than a strict grid, the streets bend and branch organically, giving the poster a hand-drawn quality that reflects how the town developed over time.
Plantations, forest and farmland surround the built area, so the map shows the town as a settled core with wide open space around it.
