Te mapa
Plungė is a town in Samogitia, in western Lithuania, on the Babrungas river. On a map the river runs through the town in a gentle curve, and the streets of the centre sit close to it. The surrounding land is a mix of farmland, woods and small lakes, which is typical of this part of the country.
The town's best-known landmark is the manor estate of the Oginski family, whose nineteenth-century palace now houses the Samogitian Art Museum. The manor park around it covers a large area of paths, ponds and trees. On the map it shows up as a green space with winding walks, clearly different from the town grid next to it.
A Plungė map poster places the town centre, the river and the manor park in a single frame. The straighter streets of the centre contrast with the park's curving paths and irregular ponds. The railway and the roads toward Klaipėda and Telšiai lead out of the town, adding long lines that reach the edges of the poster.
The large landscaped park around the former Oginski palace has winding paths, ponds and dense planting, which appear as a distinctive open area.
The river crosses Plungė in a soft curve and feeds the manor ponds, setting the direction of the town's older streets.
Fields, patches of forest and small lakes surround the town, typical of the hilly Samogitian landscape of western Lithuania.

Koteā ko Plunge
Plungė is a natural choice for people with Samogitian roots, and for those who remember walks in the manor park. The combination of river, park and town gives the poster enough variety to work in larger sizes.
Personalise it with a title, a subtitle such as a year, and the coordinates line, in Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital version costs $9 and includes six sizes as PNG and print-ready PDF, and framed prints can also be ordered.
