Te mapa
Port Blair, officially renamed Sri Vijaya Puram in 2024, is the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It sits on the east coast of South Andaman around a sheltered harbour. From above, the town is shaped by water and hills: roads wind over low ridges, and the coastline folds into bays and inlets on almost every side.
The town's most famous landmark is the Cellular Jail, built by the British in the early twentieth century to hold political prisoners and now a national memorial. Offshore, the small Ross Island was the colonial administrative headquarters. The airport runway cuts a long, straight line through the southern part of town.
A Port Blair map poster draws together the harbour, the islands and the curving streets in one frame. The irregular coastline makes it one of the more distinctive city shapes in India, a natural fit for a minimalist black-and-white print.
The town wraps around a deep natural harbour with smaller bays and creeks. The coastline's many folds give the map its most recognisable outline.
The colonial-era prison stands on high ground near the waterfront. Its radial wing layout was designed so guards could watch every block from a central tower.
The runway cuts a long straight line through the southern part of town. It's a strong contrast to the winding streets and coastline around it.

Koteā ko Port Blair
Port Blair is where many people have served, studied or spent time far from the mainland. A map of the harbour and its streets is a good way to keep that stay close once you've left the islands.
Set the title as Port Blair or Sri Vijaya Puram, add a subtitle and a date, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose a style: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
