Te mapa
Puthia is an upazila of Rajshahi District in north-western Bangladesh, east of the city of Rajshahi. Most of its area is farmland on the flat plain of the Ganges basin, divided into rice fields and dotted with villages. On a map it appears as a fine web of rural roads and paths, broken by many ponds and water tanks of every size.
Its best-known place is the Puthia Temple Complex, a group of Hindu temples built by the zamindars of Puthia around their palace, the Puthia Rajbari. Among them are the tall Shiva temple, the terracotta-decorated Govinda temple and the Jagannath temple, standing beside large ornamental ponds that also show clearly from above.
The Dhaka–Rajshahi highway crosses the upazila, giving the rural pattern one firm, straight line. A Puthia map poster combines the temple quarter, its ponds and the farmland around it into a delicate composition, a record of a place where architectural heritage and everyday village life sit side by side.
The temples of the old zamindar estate stand close together near the palace, forming a small, recognisable cluster at the centre of the map amid the surrounding village streets.
Large rectangular ponds beside the temples and countless smaller tanks across the villages appear as crisp water shapes, giving the poster a scattered, almost dotted texture.
The main road between Dhaka and Rajshahi runs through the upazila, a strong straight line that contrasts with the winding village paths and field boundaries on either side.

Koteā ko Puthia
Puthia matters to people from its villages and to anyone interested in the architecture of Bengal. A map poster keeps the temple ponds and the surrounding fields together, a thoughtful choice for a family home in Rajshahi or for relatives living in Dhaka or abroad.
Edit the title and subtitle, for example with your village name or a family date, and adjust the coordinates line. There are five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, available as $9 digital files or as a matte print, framed if you wish.
