Te mapa
Romano Banco is a district of Buccinasco, a municipality on the south-western edge of the Milan metropolitan area. On the map it appears as a settled grid of residential streets, apartment blocks and small parks, bounded by main roads and gradually giving way to open land toward the south.
That transition is the heart of a Romano Banco map poster. To one side lie the dense suburbs of the Milan conurbation, to the other the long, straight field edges and farm roads of the plain, among the protected agricultural land of the Parco Agricolo Sud Milano, which surrounds much of this part of the metropolitan area.
The area grew substantially during the post-war expansion of Milan, when many villages on the city's fringe became residential suburbs. Its streets reflect that period, with planned blocks and wide roads arranged around older farm-village cores.
Residential streets form a regular, closely set network, giving the upper part of the map a dense, orderly texture typical of Milan's outer districts.
Open fields and straight rural roads extend south of the built area, offering wide, calm space and a clear boundary to the town.
Main routes toward Milan and neighbouring towns cross the district, their longer, bolder lines framing the smaller local streets.
