Te mapa
Rompin is a town in eastern Negeri Sembilan, in the interior of Peninsular Malaysia. It should not be confused with the district of the same name in Pahang. From above, the town is modest: a few commercial streets and residential clusters along main roads, surrounded by large areas of agricultural land. The surrounding patterns are broad and regular, typical of the region's plantation landscape.
This part of Negeri Sembilan is mostly rural, and plantations shape much of the land. Settlements are linked by a network of main roads, and housing spreads along them. The rolling land and scattered forest give the area a quiet character that is very different from the dense corridor near Kuala Lumpur and Seremban to the west.
A Rompin map poster shows a small town on a wide rural canvas. The main roads meet at its centre, short streets and residential clusters fill in around them, and the plantation roads further out form their own orderly grid. The map is simple and gentle, made mostly of open space and a few clear lines.
The town grows around the meeting of its main roads, with shops and houses gathered along them in a short, easily read cluster.
Estate roads beyond the town form large, regular divisions of land. They contrast with the looser streets at the town's core.
The land is gently hilly and partly forested. Roads curve with the terrain as they link Rompin to other towns in eastern Negeri Sembilan.

Koteā ko Rompin
Rompin appeals to families from Negeri Sembilan, people who grew up in the estate communities of the interior, and Malaysians living far from home. The map is modest and personal, showing the streets people actually remember.
