Te mapa
Rossosh’ is a town in the south of Voronezh Oblast, in the broad, open steppe country of southern Russia. It grew around the railway, and the tracks still cut clearly through the map: a long, straight line with sidings and yards beside it. The town is laid out mostly as a regular grid of streets and blocks on either side of the line.
A small river, the Chornaya Kalitva, winds along the edge of the town, and its curves contrast with the straight streets. Private houses with gardens take up large parts of the town, so the blocks look fine-grained on the map. Beyond the outskirts, long field boundaries stretch out across the flat farmland that surrounds it.
A Rossosh’ map poster shows a classic steppe railway town. It has an orderly grid, a strong rail line through the middle and a meandering river at the edge, surrounded by open country. The drawing is simple and clear, with rhythm coming from the repeated blocks and a few curves to break them up.
The main line and its yards run straight through Rossosh’. The tracks are the strongest single line on the map and split the grid into two parts.
Regular blocks of houses and gardens fill both sides of the railway. They make an even, finely divided pattern across the town.
A small river winds past the town. Its soft loops contrast clearly with the straight streets and rail lines.
