Te mapa
Roy lies in Weber County, Utah, south of Ogden and along the Wasatch Front. From above, it is an almost perfect example of the Utah grid. Major roads run in straight lines north–south and east–west, dividing the city into large, even blocks, each filled with residential streets and cul-de-sacs.
Interstate 15 and the rail corridor cross the eastern part of the city, and Hill Air Force Base lies directly to the east on higher ground, with its runways forming the largest shapes in the area. To the west, the grid gradually fades into farmland and wetlands toward the shore of the Great Salt Lake.
A Roy map poster reflects the calm order of a planned Western suburb. The grid is even and uninterrupted, the long roads are easy to follow, and the large base and open land on the edges balance the density. In monochrome it reads almost like an architectural drawing.
Major roads divide Roy into large, square blocks at regular intervals, a pattern shared across the Wasatch Front and very clear from above.
East of the city, the base's long runways and wide open areas form the largest and most geometric shapes in the surrounding map.
West of the city, the streets thin out into fields and wetlands that lead toward the Great Salt Lake, giving the map a quiet, open edge.
