Te mapa
Salesópolis is a small municipality at the eastern end of the São Paulo metropolitan region, in hilly country close to the Serra do Mar. It is best known as the place where the Tietê River rises. The river begins here as a modest spring before flowing inland, through the city of São Paulo and across the state. On a map, the town is a small cluster of streets surrounded by green, rolling land.
Much of the municipality is covered by remnants of Atlantic forest, farmland and reservoirs built to regulate the upper Tietê. Roads wind across hills and valleys, and the reservoirs appear as irregular branching shapes of water. The town itself is compact, with a small historic centre and streets that follow the terrain.
A Salesópolis map poster suits people who like the contrast with the huge city downstream. The river that crosses São Paulo starts here as a stream among forested hills. It suits residents, weekend visitors and anyone who wants a quieter, greener map of the state's water landscape.
The Tietê River rises in the municipality. It is the town's best-known feature and the starting point of one of São Paulo state's most important rivers.
Dams on the upper Tietê have created branching reservoirs. On the map they form irregular shapes of water that reach into the surrounding valleys.
Winding roads cross forested hills and farmland. They connect the compact town centre with rural areas and give the poster soft, flowing lines.

For paulistanos who escape the city at weekends, and for families rooted in Salesópolis, a map of the place where the Tietê begins has a quiet significance. It is a calm, green counterpoint to the metropolis downstream.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a trip date or a family name, and edit the coordinates line. The five styles are Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
