Te mapa
San Leonardo is a municipality in Nueva Ecija, in the flat heart of Central Luzon. The province is often called the rice granary of the Philippines, and the landscape around the town shows it: wide paddy fields, irrigation channels and farm roads stretch out on all sides. The town centre is compact, with streets gathered around the main road.
Like many towns in Nueva Ecija, San Leonardo grew as a farming centre, with a poblacion at its heart and barangays spread across the surrounding plain. The main highway north from Manila runs nearby, linking the town to Gapan, Cabanatuan and the rest of the province.
A San Leonardo map poster shows a small town set in a very large, flat landscape. The streets form a tight cluster, and roads and waterways run across the open plain around them. There is a lot of empty space in the frame, which suits the minimalist style.

Farmland stretches out in every direction across the flat Central Luzon plain. Farm roads and irrigation channels cross it in long, straight lines.
A main road passes through the area, linking San Leonardo with neighbouring towns in Nueva Ecija. Houses and shops line the roadside, forming a continuous strip.
