Te mapa
Santaluz is a municipality in the interior of Bahia, northeastern Brazil, in the semi-arid sertão. From above, the town is a compact arrangement of mostly straight streets around a central area. At the edge of the built-up area it quickly gives way to scrub, pasture and cultivated plots.
The town belongs to Bahia's Sisal Territory, a region whose economy has long depended on sisal, a tough-leaved agave grown for its fibre. Gold mining has also become important locally. On a map, the dry landscape appears as a sparse web of roads and tracks linking farms and small villages across the caatinga.
A Santaluz map poster favours clarity and space. The town's regular blocks form a crisp centre, roads radiate across the sertão toward neighbouring municipalities, and the rest of the frame stays open and light. In the Sand or Paper style, the composition echoes the dry, bright character of the region.
The centre of Santaluz is laid out in mostly regular blocks, giving the map a clear, orderly core that reads well at any size.
Roads and tracks lead out across the semi-arid countryside, forming thin lines that connect the town with farms and nearby municipalities.
The land around the town is part of Bahia's sisal-growing region. On the map it shows as open ground crossed by field boundaries and rural paths.
