Te mapa
Selçuk is a small town in İzmir Province and the gateway to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities of the Mediterranean. The ruins lie just southwest of the modern centre, and the town itself carries layers of history. It includes the site of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, of which a single column now remains.
Ayasuluk Hill rises above the town, crowned by a Byzantine and later Ottoman castle. On its slopes are the remains of the Basilica of St John, and at its foot stands the fourteenth-century İsa Bey Mosque. On the map the modern streets spread around the base of the hill, and the plain beyond them stretches west toward the Aegean coast.
A Selçuk map poster connects all of these in one frame: the hill, the temple site, the town grid and the long approach to Ephesus. It is a map for anyone who has walked the marble streets of the ancient city and then returned to the quiet town for the evening.
The castle hill rises directly above the town with the Basilica of St John on its slopes. Its contours give the poster a clear, raised centre.
The site of one of the ancient Seven Wonders lies in low ground at the town's edge. Today it is a marshy field with a single rebuilt column.
A short route leads southwest from Selçuk to the ruins of Ephesus. On a wider crop, the ancient city and the modern town appear together on one sheet.

Koteā ko Selçuk
Selçuk is where many journeys to Ephesus begin and end. The map keeps the whole setting, castle, temple and ancient city, in a form that sits well beside books and travel photographs.
Change the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example to note the date of a visit or pair Selçuk with Ephesus. Sand and Paper suit the old stone, and Classic, Noir and Blueprint give a sharper look.
