Te mapa
Shabestar is a town in East Azerbaijan province, in northwestern Iran, between the Mishu mountain range and the northern side of Lake Urmia. The land slopes gently from the mountains down toward the lake plain, and the town sits in that transition. Orchards and farmland surround it, forming a patchwork of fields on a wider map.
The street plan combines an older, irregular core with newer, straighter avenues added as the town grew. Main roads link Shabestar to Tabriz and to neighbouring towns along the lake plain. Their long lines give the poster its structure, while smaller streets fill the blocks between them.
The town is known as the birthplace of Mahmud Shabestari, the fourteenth-century Persian Sufi poet whose Gulshan-i Raz, The Rose Garden of Mystery, is still widely read. A Shabestar map poster connects that literary name to the real streets, set between mountains and a great salt lake.
The Mishu range rises north of town. On the map, streets thin out toward the slopes, and the direction of the land is readable in the way the town spreads.
South of Shabestar, the plain runs down toward Lake Urmia. A wider framing includes part of the lakeshore, adding a large, calm shape to the composition.
The irregular lanes of the older centre meet straight modern avenues. The contrast between the two patterns is clearly visible in a minimal black-and-white rendering.

Koteā ko Shabestar
Shabestar means something to readers of Persian poetry and even more to those who grew up there. A map poster of the town is a quiet, personal tribute to both.
You can set the title and subtitle, perhaps with a line of verse, a family name or a date, and personalise the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
