Te mapa
Shaykh Miskīn stands in the Daraa governorate of southern Syria, on the Hauran plateau, a wide volcanic plain long known for growing grain. The town is fairly compact. Its centre of older houses is denser, and newer streets push outward along the roads. Around it the land opens into flat fields divided by low stone walls and farm tracks.
The town's position has always mattered. It lies close to the main road linking Damascus with Daraa and the Jordanian border, and routes to neighbouring Hauran towns fan out from it. On the map these connections show as long, confident lines across a plain with few rivers or hills to bend them.
The recent war left deep marks on many towns in the south, and Shaykh Miskīn was one of them. A Shaykh Miskīn map poster does not try to tell that story. It records the streets and roads of a place people return to, the fixed geography beneath everything that has changed.
Flat volcanic farmland surrounds the town on every side. The street network sits in open space, so its outline reads clearly on the poster.
The main north–south route between Damascus and Daraa passes nearby. It is a strong line that anchors the composition and explains the town's historic role as a stop along the way.
Smaller roads spread out toward the surrounding villages like spokes, a pattern typical of Hauran towns that grew as market centres for their farmland.

Koteā ko Shaykh Miskīn
For Syrians abroad, especially the many families from Daraa governorate, a map of home can be a private, steady thing to keep on the wall. It shows the town without comment, just the streets and roads as they are remembered.
