Te mapa
Shigu is a town in Yulong County, near Lijiang in northwest Yunnan. It is best known for its position at the First Bend of the Yangtze. Here the upper Yangtze, known locally as the Jinsha River, comes down out of the mountains and then swings abruptly around to the northeast. On a map the turn is dramatic and easy to read.
The town's name means 'stone drum', after a drum-shaped stone monument that stands there. Its streets gather on the riverbank at the foot of the hills. In 1936, during the Long March, units of the Red Army crossed the Jinsha near Shigu, and the town marks the event with a memorial.
A Shigu map poster is really a portrait of the bend itself. The river's broad curve dominates the frame, the town sits compactly at its edge, and roads follow the valley in both directions. The result is one of the most distinctive river shapes in China.
The Jinsha River swings through an abrupt turn beside the town. This sweeping curve is the natural centrepiece of the whole poster.
Shigu's streets sit compactly on the bank between the river and the hills. They form a small, dense cluster held tightly by the landscape.
Roads follow the river valley in both directions. They trace the water's path and emphasise the scale of the bend on the map.

Koteā ko Shigu
The First Bend is one of the well-known sights of Yunnan, and many travellers pass through between Lijiang and the northern mountains. The map keeps the remarkable shape of the river in a form that stays interesting for years.
Give the poster your own title, subtitle and date, and keep the coordinates line as a quiet reference. There are five styles in total: Blueprint emphasises the river and Paper gives a warmer tone. Choose HD files or a printed poster.
