Te mapa
Lushui is a county-level city in western Yunnan and the seat of the Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture. It is built along the Nu River, known further downstream as the Salween, which runs through one of the deepest valleys in Asia. There is little flat land, so the town stretches in a thin band along both banks rather than spreading outward.
On a map this gives Lushui an unusual shape: long and narrow, with streets running parallel to the river and short cross streets climbing toward the slopes. Bridges link the two banks at intervals, and the mountains rise steeply on either side. The Nu River valley is part of the Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan protected areas, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
A Lushui map poster is defined by the river itself. The water runs down the frame as a single strong line, and the town follows it closely. For a place shaped this much by terrain, a minimalist print shows why the town looks the way it does.
The river runs north to south through the centre of the map. Every street in town runs roughly parallel to it or crosses it.
Squeezed between steep slopes, the town is several kilometres long but only a few blocks wide. It makes a tall, slender composition.
Bridges cross the Nu at intervals and tie the two banks together. They appear as short, clean strokes over the water.

Koteā ko Lushui
The map suits travellers who have come through the Nujiang valley and people from the prefecture who want a quiet reminder of home. Its vertical shape works especially well in a narrow wall space.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so you can add a journey date or a personal note. The print comes in Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
