Te mapa
Simão Dias lies in the west of Sergipe, Brazil's smallest state, close to the border with Bahia. It sits in the agreste, the transition zone between the humid coast and the dry sertão. On a map the town forms a compact cluster, with streets set out around a central square and then extending along the roads that lead out into farmland.
The terrain is gently rolling, and the street pattern follows it in places, bending around low rises instead of keeping a strict grid. Beyond the urban area the landscape breaks into rural properties, dirt roads and small reservoirs. That pattern of scattered lines and open space is typical of inland north-eastern Brazil.
A Simão Dias map poster is a portrait of a country town in the Brazilian interior, with a clear centre, a few main roads and farmland all around. In monochrome its modest layout looks especially clean, and the central streets read as a dense core surrounded by open space.
The core is built around a main square and its surrounding blocks. As in many towns in the interior of the Northeast, public life focuses on this central space.
Regional roads leave the town in several directions toward neighbouring municipalities and the Bahia border. They give the settlement a clear sense of direction on the page.
Around the town, rural roads and property lines divide the rolling land. Small reservoirs appear as scattered pale spots across the countryside.

Koteā ko Simão Dias
Many people born in the interior of Sergipe now live in Aracaju, Salvador or São Paulo. A map of Simão Dias keeps the streets of home in view, simply and without nostalgia.
You can write the title and subtitle in Portuguese, add a family name or date, and choose one of five styles. The $9 download includes 300 DPI PNG and PDF files in six sizes, or you can order a printed poster shipped from a regional partner.
