Te mapa
Surallah is a municipality in South Cotabato, in the broad Allah Valley of southern Mindanao. The town centre forms a compact grid on level ground, and the national road runs through it, linking neighbouring towns across the valley. Beyond the centre, the map quickly opens into farmland, with barangay roads spreading out toward the surrounding hills.
The valley takes its name from the Allah River, and the land here is largely given over to rice, corn and other crops. To the south and west the terrain climbs toward the uplands around Lake Sebu, the home of the T'boli people. On a map this shift is easy to read, as straight lowland roads give way to more winding routes.
A Surallah map poster keeps the focus on the town and its immediate surroundings: the grid, the main road and the network of rural lanes. It is a modest, honest portrait of a farming community, well suited to people who come from the valley or have family still living there.
The poblacion forms a small, orderly grid of streets on flat valley ground, the densest part of the map and the natural focus of the design.
A main road passes straight through the town, connecting it with other communities in the valley and giving the poster a strong axis to read along.
Around the centre, rural roads cross wide agricultural land, then begin to wind as the terrain rises toward the hills to the south and west.
