Te mapa
Tabora is in the dry woodland of western-central Tanzania, far from the coast and major lakes. From above, the town is fairly compact, with a network of streets around the centre that loosens into scattered settlement and farmland at the edges. The railway is the defining feature of the map: the line from Dar es Salaam arrives here and splits, one branch heading north toward Mwanza and the other west toward Kigoma.
Long before the railway, Tabora was a major stop on the nineteenth-century caravan routes between the coast and the Great Lakes. Explorers, including David Livingstone, passed through the area, and his former residence at nearby Kwihara is still remembered. The town's position as a junction has shaped its importance ever since, and the map reflects this role clearly.
A Tabora map poster places the railway junction at its centre, with lines radiating outward and the town's streets forming around them. The lack of coastline or mountains lets the composition stay simple and balanced, a clear map of a place built around routes and crossroads in the middle of a very large country.
The Central Line divides here into branches toward Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika, forming the main structure of the town on the map.
The main streets are concentrated around the station and the commercial area, while the rest of the town spreads more loosely into the surrounding land.
The roads leaving in several directions follow the long-distance routes that made Tabora an important inland stopping point for traders.

Koteā ko Tabora
Tabora means something to people who went to school there, worked on the railway or have family roots in western Tanzania. A map of the junction town, with a personalised title and date, is a thoughtful way to keep that connection visible.
It is available in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand matches the colours of the central plateau. The $9 digital files include 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF versions in six sizes, and printed posters are shipped from partners in more than 30 countries.
