Te mapa
Tagaytay occupies the high ridge along the northern rim of the Taal caldera in Cavite province. From above, the city stretches in a long band along the ridge, with its main road following the crest and side streets dropping away on either side. To the south the ground falls steeply toward Taal Lake, while to the north gentler slopes descend toward the lowlands of Cavite.
The altitude gives Tagaytay a noticeably cooler climate than Manila, and it has long been a weekend retreat and wedding destination for people from the capital. Its best-known feature is the view across the lake to Volcano Island, where Taal Volcano, one of the most active in the Philippines, rises from the water.
On paper, that geography makes an unusual composition. A Tagaytay map poster sets the dense line of streets along the ridge against the wide, open curve of the lake, with the volcanic island rising at its centre, so the city and its landscape read as a single, connected form.
The main road runs along the crest of the ridge for kilometres, giving the city its long, linear shape and anchoring the whole layout of the map.
The lake fills the old volcanic caldera to the south, a broad expanse of water whose rounded shoreline sweeps across the lower part of the print.
Taal Volcano rises from the middle of the lake, an island within a lake that gives the composition a striking focal point.

Koteā ko Tagaytay
Tagaytay is where many couples, families and friends go for a cool weekend, a proposal with a view or a wedding on the ridge. A map of the city is a natural way to remember that moment.
