Tekkeköy lies just east of Samsun on the Black Sea coast of northern Turkey. From above, it is a long, thin strip: the shoreline to the north, the coastal highway and railway running parallel behind it, and the town's streets filling the band between them and the first low hills. To the east, the land opens into the flat, fertile plain toward Çarşamba.
The district grew as Samsun expanded, and today it combines residential neighbourhoods, industrial areas and farmland. That mix shows clearly on a map.
