Te mapa
Trelleborg sits at the very bottom of Sweden, where the farmland of southern Skåne runs straight into the Baltic. From above, the shoreline is almost ruler-straight. The harbour takes up a large part of the waterfront: long breakwaters, ferry berths and rail tracks reach out to sea, and the town's streets spread inland behind them.
The centre is a tight, regular grid of low blocks, with larger residential areas and industrial zones fanning out towards the fields. Roads leave the town in every direction across open, level country, so the edge between town and farmland looks sharp on paper. At this scale, a Trelleborg map poster shows a port town where the sea shapes the whole plan.
Trelleborg is one of Scandinavia's main ferry ports, with regular crossings to Germany. It is also home to Trelleborgen, a partly reconstructed Viking-age ring fortress, and to a street lined with palm trees that surprises many first-time visitors this far north.
Breakwaters and berths push out into the Baltic along the southern shore, a mass of piers and rail lines that carries freight and passengers across to Germany.
The coastline runs almost dead level east to west, so the town reads as a clean block of streets resting on one long, calm edge of water.
Trelleborgen, the reconstructed circular fortress, gives the town its name and adds a rare perfect circle to an otherwise rectangular street plan.

Koteā ko Trelleborg
For people who have crossed on the ferries, grown up near the harbour or have family in southern Skåne, this map is a quiet reminder of where Sweden ends and the sea begins. The flat coastline and tidy grid suit a minimalist print well.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a date or a family name if you like. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download HD files or order a framed print.
