Te mapa
Tremedal is a municipality in southwestern Bahia, in the interior far from the Atlantic coast, in a region of semi-arid uplands. The town itself is small. On a map, its core is a modest cluster of streets inside a much larger rural area, where country roads spread out across the open land toward farms and villages.
The layout is simple: a handful of main streets, with blocks forming a loose grid that grows less regular toward the edges. Small streams cross the land around the town, many of them seasonal in this dry climate, and farms are scattered across it. The contrast between the compact town and the wide, sparsely marked land around it gives the map its structure.
A Tremedal map poster is about scale: a small town inside a wide, quiet territory. The fine lines of rural roads leading out from the centre toward the horizon make the composition feel open and calm. For those who left the sertão for larger cities, it is a simple way to keep the geography of home close.
The urban area is small and easy to take in at a glance, a tight cluster of blocks whose streets gradually loosen as they reach the surrounding countryside.
Country roads fan out from the town in several directions, linking farms and outlying communities. On the map they form a pattern of thin lines spreading outward.
Small streams cross the land around Tremedal, many of them flowing only part of the year. They appear as delicate lines winding through the countryside.

This is a map for people with roots in Tremedal: those who still live there, those who moved to Vitória da Conquista, Salvador or São Paulo, and their children who grew up hearing the stories. It gives a specific place in Bahia the attention it rarely gets.
