Te mapa
Tucacas lies on the eastern coast of Falcón state in Venezuela, on the Caribbean. The town is a narrow strip of streets along the shoreline, but what makes its map distinctive is the water beside it: Morrocoy National Park, a coastal area of mangrove islands, lagoons and small sandy keys spread across the shallow sea.
The town serves as one of the main gateways to the park, and boats leave from its waterfront for the keys offshore. The coastline here is irregular, with inlets, peninsulas and mangrove fringes that make the line between land and sea hard to trace, which is exactly what gives the map its character.
A Tucacas map poster shows a compact grid of streets pressed against a highly fragmented coast. In black and white, the islands and channels become a field of irregular shapes, while the town's straight roads provide a sense of order at the edge of the composition.
Small islands and sandbars scattered across the shallow bay form a cluster of shapes offshore, the most recognisable element of the Tucacas coastline from above.
Narrow waterways wind between mangrove islands and the mainland, creating fine, irregular lines where the coastline dissolves into a maze of lagoons.
The town stretches along the coast in a compact band of streets, with the waterfront and small docks marking its eastern edge.

Koteā ko Tucacas
Tucacas is a place many people remember from boat trips to the keys or family holidays by the sea. A map of its coast holds those memories in a form that feels considered rather than souvenir-like.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with the name of a favourite key or the year of a trip. Five styles are available, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as a $9 digital file or a printed poster.
