Te mapa
Uckfield is in East Sussex, England, in the Weald and close to the edge of Ashdown Forest. The town grew along a road running over a ridge down to the River Uck, and its long High Street still follows that line. From above, the old centre is a single main street with smaller roads branching off. Newer housing spreads over the slopes around it.
The river runs through the low ground on the southern side of the centre, and the railway ends near it. Uckfield is the terminus of the line from London via Oxted, so the tracks stop in the town instead of passing through. Around the edges, woods, hedgerows and fields break up the streets, which is typical of the Wealden countryside.
An Uckfield map poster shows a classic English market town shape: a spine-like High Street, a river at the bottom of the valley, a railway line ending at the station, and neighbourhoods spread over the hills. It is a gentle, readable map, and it works well in the Paper style.
The main street climbs from the river over the hill. It forms the backbone of the old town, with smaller streets branching from it on both sides.
The river runs through low ground south of the centre. It gives the map a soft natural curve and a band of green space.
The line from London via Oxted ends in Uckfield. On the map the tracks simply stop in town, which makes an unusual and recognisable detail.

Koteā ko Uckfield
Uckfield is a common choice for people who grew up there, commuted from its station, or moved to the edge of Ashdown Forest for a quieter life. The map is modest and familiar, well suited to a kitchen or hallway.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example to add a house name or moving date. Choose from five styles. Printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame, and the digital files cost $9.
