Te mapa
Umarga is in the Dharashiv district of Maharashtra, close to the Karnataka border. It sits on the open Deccan plateau, and the land around it is mostly flat farmland. From above, the long highway corridor between Solapur and Hyderabad is the clearest line on the map, cutting through the town and anchoring much of its growth.
Away from that corridor, the older streets form a denser, less regular pattern, with lanes that curve and meet at odd angles. Newer neighbourhoods are laid out more openly toward the edges, and fields begin not far beyond. The result is a town that reads as both a crossroads and a market centre for the surrounding countryside.
An Umarga map poster captures that mix: one bold road line, an older core gathered close around it, and gradually thinning streets at the edges. It is a plain, honest picture of a working Deccan town, and it has a graphic clarity that comes through well in black and white.
The Solapur–Hyderabad road runs through Umarga as a strong continuous line, and much of the town's commercial life has grown along it.
Near the centre, lanes are narrower and more irregular, forming a denser cluster that marks the town's older, market-focused heart.
At the outskirts, streets grow sparse and give way to open farmland typical of the flat Deccan landscape around the town.
