Te mapa
Val Dor lies on the mainland side of Penang, in Seberang Perai, away from the island and George Town. Its name recalls the plantation era, when estates with European names covered much of this part of the peninsula. On the map the area shows a mix of older settlement and newer residential development along the roads.
This part of Seberang Perai has changed considerably in recent decades. Former estate land has given way to housing areas and industrial sites, while pockets of greenery and farmland remain. Roads connect the area with the towns around it and with the highways that link the mainland to the rest of the country.
A Val Dor map poster shows a place in transition. Housing estates appear as compact blocks of parallel streets, older roads wind between them, and open land fills the gaps. It is a quiet, understated composition, suited to a place known mainly to the people who live there.
Newer residential areas form neat blocks of parallel streets, their regular patterns standing out against the looser roads around them.
Winding roads from the plantation era still link the settlements, adding softer, irregular lines between the newer developments.
Remaining fields and green patches fill the spaces between built-up areas, giving the map an open, balanced composition.
