Te mapa
Vikarabad sits on the Deccan plateau west of Hyderabad and serves as the headquarters of the district of the same name in Telangana. Seen from above, the town clusters around its railway lines. The tracks cross the urban area and split it into neighbourhoods on each side, and roads to Hyderabad and to the towns further west leave from the centre.
Around the built-up core, the plateau is a patchwork of farmland, open rocky ground and scattered tanks, the small reservoirs typical of this part of India. Just south of town are the Ananthagiri Hills, a wooded area where the Musi River begins before it flows east toward Hyderabad. On a map, the forest shows up as an empty zone next to the grid.
A Vikarabad map poster records a town where the railway sets the structure. Streets run parallel to the tracks or cross them at a few points, and the neighbourhoods stretch outward along the main roads. The resulting outline is simple and easy to read, with plenty of open ground around it.
Vikarabad is a railway junction. Its lines cross the town, set the direction of many streets and split the urban area into distinct parts.
South of the town, the forested Ananthagiri Hills have few roads, so they leave a quiet, open area on the map beside the denser streets.
The Musi River rises in the hills near Vikarabad before flowing east to Hyderabad, which links this small town to the geography of the state capital.

The poster suits people from Vikarabad, weekend visitors to the Ananthagiri Hills, and anyone who has travelled the rail lines west of Hyderabad. The small, clear town plan works well as a restrained piece of wall art.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a family name or a move date. It comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
